2.1. The objects of the Association shall be to: -
Support, promote & preserve the folk arts
Encourage the use of acoustic musical instruments
Encourage folk of all ages and abilities, to sing or play a musical instrument
Promote the interest in and performance of Australasian music and song, and those of allied cultures
representing the diverse backgrounds and heritage of the Australian peoples.
Encourage a critical interest in the history of Australia and it’s allied cultures, as expressed in music and songs
Preserve and encourage the culture of the traditional Australian “bush dance” and it’s associated activities
Offer members a place to perform in an encouraging and supportive environment
Encourage the writing of original songs and music
Promote the enjoyment of “live” music.
2.2 To do all things as may be incidental to the attainment of such objects.
